THE BIRTH OF BOUGIE BLOOMS NOLA: CELEBRATING THE PRESENT
Founded as a response to the stresses and anxieties of corporate life, I found that floral design brought respite and relaxation. Curating vibrant and fanciful florals provided a form of mindfulness that encouraged attention to the present moment and allowed for reflection and creativity that inspired my path to wellness.
OUR INSPIRATION: THE BEAUTY OF UNIQUENESS
Bougie Blooms NOLA is a family-run business where everyone, including our children, contribute to the creative floral design process. We value the sensory and visual benefits flowers offer neuro-diverse individuals, including those with autism like my son. Bougie Blooms NOLA will always be a space where his autistic superpowers are supported and employed.
Our floral arrangements draw inspiration from New Orleans’ unique history and native plants, such as magnolias and other species found lining our parks and bayous. Like gumbo, our vibrant arrangements are made from a combination of ingredients---flowers, colors, and textures that reflect diversity and local character.
